The 2-Minute Rule says that if a task takes less than two minutes, don’t put it off.
It’s a cleaning rule that you can share with the whole family, and that can be quickly and easily adapted to any lifestyle.
Here are some examples of cleaning tasks that you can do following the 2-Minute Rule:
Wash a dish (this will allow you to avoid piling up dirty dishes in the sink).
Put your clothes in the washing machine (they will be ready when you need them and won’t pile up in the laundry basket).
Clear the table in the entrance (this will avoid a pile of papers that you will, sooner or later, throw away)
Hang up the clothes you are wearing (instead of leaving them on a chair, this will prevent them from wrinkling)
Clear the hallway (to avoid a pile of unopened letters and other personal effects)
